Commissioner General of the Lithuanian section is Mr. Romas Jankauskas, Director of Public information and public relation department of the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Lithuania.
Born in 1962 on March, 7 in Kaunas.
1969-1980 Kaunas' secondary school No. 36, Golden medal.
1980-1983 Journalism studies at Vilnius University.
1983-1985 M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University, Faculty of journalism, Qualification: TV journalist.
1985-1992 various positions at LRT TV news departament: editor, journalist, Editor-in-chief, Head of Departament.
1992-1993 Head of Training Departament, Lithuanian Radio & TV.
1993-1997 TV Programming Director, Lithuanian TV.
1997-1998 Head of Acquisition and Sales, Lithuanian TV.
1998 Head of International Relations, Lithuanian Radio & TV.
1999-2001 TV Managing Director, Lithuanian Radio & TV.
2002-2004 Adviser to the Minister of the Environment
Since 2004 Director of Public information and public relation department of the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Lithuania.
Good knowledge of broadcasting issues in Lithuania and Europe, wide experience in cooperation with foreign companies (YLE, DR, SVT, NRK, TVP, MTV, Arte, ARD, etc) and organizations (EBU, Circom Regional, TVE International, Baltic Media Centre, EDN, U.R.T.I. etc.). Well organized, communicating with top level managers and Government people.
