| The contest of children drawings titled “Letters to children of the rising sun”, which was organized by the Lithuanian Ministry of Environment and the Foundation for Educational Change, is now over. Paintress Arûnë Tornau notes that the amount of drawings sent to the contest indicates that it was of interests for the pupils and the theme of the contest – “What would I like to tell about Lithuania to children of Japan” – was intriguing. Paintress also indicates that probably due to lack of time some children sent their drawings which were gathering dust in their drawers – some drawings are predominated with themes of Christmas and New Year. Yet most of the drawings are in line with the theme of the contest and may put in for the main theme of the EXPO 2005 – “Nature’s Wisdom”. |
